Watch with Caution – You May Never Want to Eat A Turkey Again – Seriously
Yes, she is back in the news again today demonstrating her high level executive skills by pardoning a turkey in the lovely hamlet of Wasilla, Alaska. Somehow, such a non-event would generally manage to elude the national news on a day that the stock market plunged over 400 points again and is at a level not seen since 2003. Our car manufacturers are on the verge of collapse. Half a million unemployed.
I suppose that when things go south, you just have to laugh…or wonder…or maybe just shake your head… to keep from worrying. And Sarah Palin always seems game to provide some Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Moment. Here’s another one. If you can’t stomach watching, Palin actually gives an interview while a weird man tortures and kills a turkey behind her. According to CNN, the reporter asked her if she wanted to move to avoid the turkey slaughter in the backgroud. Not necessary! OK then. Well, she hunts with high powered autormotic weapons (now that’s a sport) and has been photographed near her prey before, so to her, what’s the big deal.
Well, this is both bizarre and a really horrifying moment that I won’t forget soon. Palin on the other hand looks very comfortable. But then again, this is a woman who loves killing things.
