Newt the Nut Rags On Obama and Religion

Newt “I’m too sexy” Gingrich
CNN reports that the Catholic multiple divorce Newt Gingrich is complaining that President Obama’s administration is in his words “intensely secular” and “anti-religious.” Gingrich’s big concern is the appointment of Harry Knox, an outspoken gay rights activist and director of the Human Rights Campaign since 2005, to the White House advisory council on faith-based initiatives. And because there is not enough fear mongering from GOP members right now, Newt thought he would add to the hype”
“I think their goal is to have a very secular America in which government dominates everything,” he said. “Why wouldn’t you put an anti-religious, left-wing zealot on a faith-based group? It’s a perfect pattern for this administration.”
Gingrich said the Knox appointment, along with some other moves, proves the administration is trying to “go down in history as a consistently anti-religious, secular group of people who are consciously trying to drive things out.”
Now bear in mind that President Obama had Rick Warren give a prayer at his inauguration and has pentecostal members in his office of faith based initiatives as well. The real issue is that Gingrich wants only some people there and he doesn’t believe gays should be represented.
Keep on stirring the fear mongering pot Newt. Maybe you and O’Reilly can team up.

“The real issue is that Gingrich wants only some people there…”

[...] Religulous hits the nail on the head (it leaves something to be desired as an actual documentary) when talking about monumental decisions being made by people under the influence of religion in my humble oppinion. I believe this is a good example of how to do things. The idea behind making this comment looks to me as if good ole Newt wants some people represented and not others. These sentiments are better expressed by Catherine. [...]
