A Time for Change  Comment Policy and Terms of Use

I really appreciate most of you who have taken the time to read my posts and leave your comments.  While I may not agree with what you say, many good things come from the discussion of issues that are difficult and contentious.  You never know when there will be common ground, or, at least a better understanding of who we are and why we believe in things in the way that we do.

A few of you have used the privilege of commenting to indulge in cyberstalking, mobbing, going way off topic, to advertise your blogs, and to rant about not much of anything or to harass  (or all of the above).  I realize that is a subjective determination, but this is  my blog and you are my guest.  Think of yourself as being in my home and how you would act if you were a guest in my home and I will do the same.

Please do not copy my posts in their entirety and give yourself credit for the post elsewhere on the internet. If you do want to use a post from A Time for Change, then you should post a portion and link back to the post here. If you don’t, you will run into a copyright problem. See the main page for copyright notice and Intellectual Property below.

Please do not use comments at this blog solely for the purpose of drawing traffic to your blog or solely to further some agenda whether it relates to the post or not. For example, inserting your URL in a comment that does not relate to the post.  Another example would be advocating right to life in a post about Somali pirates.  One has nothing to do with the other and if you make posts to further an agenda that is off topic, you may risk having them deleted.

I want you to enjoy using A Time for Change. I also want you to obey the law while you’re here and not interfere unduly with anyone else’s right to enjoy it. Comments

 A Time for Change allows you to post comments, provided that you first register to do so with a valid e-mail address. That means you cannot comment unless you have already registered. A Time for Change may allow as much or as little opportunity for registration as I choose, in my absolute discretion, and I may close particular comment threads or discontinue the general policy of allowing comments at any time. Trackbacks

Notwithstanding the foregoing, A Time for Change may occasionally post text, graphics, photos, audio, or video which it neither owns nor has a license to use if it believes in good faith that the use of such material constitutes fair use as defined by Section 107 of Title 17 of the United States Code, as amended. They do not apply to advertisers, online merchandisers, websites to which we link, or any other third party, none of which are owned or operated by Catherine MacIvor and A Time for Change, and about which we make no warranties or representations.
